Find an Agent
Helping you be successful as an author

Many Christian publishing houses are not able to process the large number of unsolicited manuscripts received each day. They primarily secure new authors by relying on agent recommendations and online proposal services such as ChristianManuscriptSubmissions.com.

In his article, Advice to First-Time Authors, Thomas Nelson CEO Michael Hyatt advises first time authors:

See Hyatt's list of Agents Who Represent Christian Authors.

Requesting the services of an agent is an option you can consider while preparing your manuscript proposal. Below are a few agents that are recommended by our member publishers or are agent members of ECPA. Please see Sally Stuart's Christian Writers' Market Guide for an extensive list of Agent choices.

For more information on securing an agent, we recommend you read “So You are Wondering About Getting An Agent” an article written by Stan Gundry and "Before You Hire a Literary Agent" by Thomas Nelson CEO Michael Hyatt. Hyatt talks further about finding an agent and committing to the challenge in "So You Can't Seem to Land an Agent."

NOTE: You should not be required to provide any up front monies for your agent’s services. Commission will be paid to the agent when book is published. See the regulatory information for the agent association, AAR, for more information.
